Sewing, Chewing, and Repairing... In That Order.

Remember my brilliant plan to make his doggy bed so well with secure straps and all?  Well, forget I ever said it, forget I ever made it.  I'm an idiot to think this wouldn't or couldn't happen.  Yea, he destroyed it.  Chewed or tore off 3 out of 4 of the straps and chewed two holes in the pillow cover about the size of a quarter each.  So, yesterday, I took what polar fleece I had left and went about repairing it.  No straps - what a waste of time.  This bed is only going in his crate at night and on the weekends.  Not during "alone time."  Here's the final pictures of the doggy bed after repairs:

 

So, on with the saga... We had a great Saturday night this last weekend with the H-Fam and the B-Fam.  The fireworks were good, the food was great, and losing at Scene It? was O.K.  Remember y'all - if Mrs. B says she's bringin' apple pie, you'd better be hungry for some because if you don't partake... your life will be significantly deprived for an extended period of time.  Mr. H makes a pretty mean grilled burger, too.  Here's some shots of the evening:

A First Post

Well, folks,  I have decided to create a blog.  That might make me a blogger.  I like to blog!  Okay, can you tell I had an English specialization in college?

Anyway, I'm still not sure Sammy is with me on this - I think he thinks it's kind of pointless.  I told him I wanted to create a blog for us and he looked at me funny.  Ah, well.  It usually takes him a while to come around and then he gets into it and can't get enough.
